CreativeBridge Coalition (CBC) will host “Soul Night,” a fundraising event featuring soul bands of the 1960s, on Thurs., Apr. 25, from 6-9 p.m. The event, benefiting children’s music-based programs, will take place at the Fireplace Restaurant & Lounge, 2075 E. Western Reserve Rd., Poland.
CreativeBridge Coalition serves young children and those with special needs by bringing music into their lives. The programs benefit kids by improving social skills, enhancing personality traits and developing learning capabilities. The nonprofit brings together educational institutions, caregivers and music providers, and it currently has projects operating in Los Angeles and Youngstown.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by DJ Carl Severino, featuring soul music from the 1960s. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and share stories with the original members of The Jaggerz, The Insights, The Hi Guys and The Bellboys. “Soul Night” will also include a cash drawing and silent auction, with items ranging from a spa package and tickets to live shows to personally autographed items and custom clothing.
“We are excited to host our first fundraising event and bring together members of these soul bands that played huge roles in our lives in the late 1960s and early 1970s,” said Dan Marshall, Ph.D., CBC co-founder. Proceeds from the event will help us grow our current project at The Rich Center for Autism in Youngstown and expand our regional efforts to create music-based programs for kids.”
Tickets are $20 per person, with all proceeds going directly to CreativeBridge Coalition. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate, please visit CBC’s donation page. For more information about the event, please contact Linda Wellendorf at email@example.com or call 330-518-5872.
About CreativeBridge Coalition
CreativeBridge Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009 by two long-time friends, Bill Bodine and Dan Marshall, Ph.D., who both share a passion for music and kids. The organization’s mission is to bring effective music programs into the lives of young children and those with special needs in meaningful and sustainable ways. CBC raises funds through solicitation of private donations and fundraising events, where more than 90 percent of the raised funds go directly to support the programs.
