Boardman Park’s annual Community Christmas Celebration will be held Sun., Dec. 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event will include wagon rides (weather permitting) and decorating the park’s evergreen trees with edible arrangements for animals.
At the Lariccia Family Community Center there will be inflatable games, crafts and caroling provided by members of Boardman High School’s music program. A Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m.
It has not been announced that Santa Claus will make an appearance.
Beginning Mon., Dec. 9, every night during the rest of the month, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the Holiday Lights Drive-Thru will be staged along Dan Slagle Way. The roadway will feature more than 20 holiday light displays.
Santa’s Secret Workshop will be staged on Sat., Dec. 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Lariccia Center. The event is held for children and includes Grinch waffles, crafts and reindeer games and is held for the benefit of Olivia’s Grace, a local nonprofit providing bereavement photography for families who have experienced the loss of a child through stillbirth, miscarriage or infant death. Boardman Park will conclude its holiday offerings on Sun., Dec. 15 with a free concert in Olde St. James Meeting House at 3:00 p.m. featuring music presented by the Park Avenue Brass. |
