A firm based in Chicago, Ill., Vermillion Ohio Acquisitions LLC, has indicated it is interested in developing a three-story assisted living center off South Ave. at Andrea Lane, at a cost of upwards of $19 million.
A pre-application hearing for the proposal was held last week before the Architectural Review Board of Boardman.
The Illinois firm is proposing a three story building, estimated to be about 90,000 sq-ft that would contain 120 rooms. and the facility could employ about 45 people.
The center would be called Silver Birch Boardman and would be constructed on a 9-acre plot of land and to within 100 feet of neraby residential areas, and as well, include the construction of a surface water retention system.
Before construction can begin, a zone change will be needed.
Before a zoning board can consider a zone change, the Architectural Review Board must first approve the design. |
