This Bernese mountain and Shepherd mix dog was walking on Southern Blvd., Sunday, June 12 dodging cars, confused and very afraid. He was nearly hit three or four times. It was heart-breaking to see him in such danger so I pulled over and was able to get him into my car before he was seriously hurt or killed.
He is such a beautiful dog and well behaved. He knows how to sit, lie down, give his paw and is housebroken. He must have had someone who loved him enough to teach him all these wonderful things.
I was sure you would be looking for him by at least placing an ad in the paper or calling the dog pound. You would hopefully miss him by now and would be trying everything to get him home again. I've made every effort to find you. He did not have a collar on and I had him scanned for a chip. I have notified the dog pound, emailed his photo to them and also to local veterinarians. I have put up fliers around the Southern Blvd. area, notified the Boardman Police and put him on Petfinder.com.
Although I would love to keep him, I am not in a position to keep the dog and must find a new home for him at once! He will make a great dog for someone who would want a smart and loving dog and would take excellent care of him.
