Singer songwriter, Jaclyn Hodos, of Stoney Creek Dr., will appear Wed., Aug. 24 at Los Gallos, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with the Dennis Drummond Band. On Sun., Aug. 28 she will be at the Ballyhoo Music festival in downtown Youngstown in an acoustic show with Dennis Drummond on the guitar. She graduated from Youngstown State University this past May and has been singing since she was 3-years-old. Her first public performance was singing on WFMJ-Channel 21 for an area talent segment when she was 12-years-old. From there she started working as an entertainer for area nursing facilities, private parties and Canfield and Youngstown New Year’s Eve First Night events. She has also sung the National Anthem at YSU, Scrappers, Phantoms hockey games and the Cleveland Cavaliers. She was the O’ Holy Night soloist on the Handel’s “Kids’ for Kids” CD in 2003 and released her first CD “Merry Christmas w Love, Jaclyn“ in 2005. Her most recent accomplishment is co-writing her original songs with ole songs Inc., Nashville, Tenn. ole’s Creative Director, Giles Godard and song arranger, Larry Paxton, house bass player for the Grand Ole Opry, co-produced the CD, “The Show Must Go On”.
