The Whispering Pines District, of the Boy Scouts of America will hold their 8th Annual Friends of Scouting Breakfast ‘Scouting-Prepared for Life’, on Tues., Mar. 12, at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., in Boardman. Breakfast begins at 7:15 a.m. and the program begins at 8:00 p.m. sharp.
The fundraising breakfast is a wonderful tradition and a celebration of Scouting’s impact on our local District. Annual attendees include area business and community leaders as well as individuals and families who support Scouting. Attendees are introduced to the events and lessons shaping our young men for life, by following the Scouting traditions, and hearing first hand from local Eagle Scouts, how scouting has positively affected their lives.
As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we strive to raise much needed funding to support local programming that directly benefits the youth in our county.
The 2013 Friends of Scouting Campaign monetary goal is $64,000. Your support will help keep Scouting alive and build enthusiasm for this worthwhile program.
Sponsorships are available and include: platinum sponsor for donation of $5000; gold sponsor for a donation of $2500; silver sponsor for a donation of $1000; and a bronze sponsor for a donation of $500.
To further celebrate these traditions set by our Scouting friends, this year we have a special ‘‘In Their Honor’ section that will commemorate that special person who has supported you or others in Scouting. For a donation of $25, the persons name. living or deceased, will be displayed on a place card at a special ‘In Their Honor’ table during the Breakfast, and will be listed in the Breakfast Program.
For more information, make a donation, make a Friends of Scouting Breakfast reservation and/or become a sponsor, or make an ‘In Their Honor’ donation, email gwrc@bsamail.org, or contact scout staff partner Patrick McFall at patrick.mcfall@scouting.org or the Scout Office at 330-898-8474. |
