CARSON ESSAD, 29, Boardman High School’s sophomore kicker, set a school record for most extra points in a game, seven, last weekend in playoff action against Cuyahoga Falls. The Spartans won, 49-0. Essad broke the previous record of six PATs held by three former Spartan kickers, Andrew Good, vs. Wilson (2000) and vs. Chaney (2002); Pat Hughes, vs. Fitch (1997); and Tommy Fryda, Ashtabula Lakeside (2018).
