Navy Veteran Dan Rivers Featured Speaker At 120th Annual Memorial Day Service

 THE 120th ANNUAL BOARDMAN MEMORIAL DAY PARADE and Service will be held Mon., May 27. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Center Intermediate School and travel to Boardman Park where the keynote speaker at the Maag Outdoor Amphitheater will be local radio talk show host Dan Rivers, of WKBN. Rivers is a U.S. Navy veteran who served two tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict. Mark Luke will serve as master of ceremonies and Lauren Johnson will give the invocation. U.S. Air Force LTC/ret. Bill Moss will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and place a wreath at the Veterans’ Memorial in honor of deceased veterans; while Ava Freeborough, president of the Boardman High School National Honor Society, will place a wreath in honor of those currently serving in the military.
