EV Charging Station To Be Installed At Tiffany Plaza
May 23, 2024 Edition
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has announced that the state will award nearly $16 million to install more electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations along interstates and other routes.
Along US-224 in Boardman, a charging station will be installed at the Tiffany Plaza shopping center. Construction is expected to begin in late 2024.
Funding for the EV chargers is being awarded as part of the second round of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program. Ohio was the first state in the nation to activate an NEVI charging station as part of this program.
The NEVI funding will be matched with more than $4 million from the private companies selected to install and operate the new EV charging stations.
