Meeting last week, the Boardman Local School Board named Chad DeAngelo as the new principal at Center Intermediate School.
      DeAngelo has been an assistant principal at Center Intermediate for the last three years and has been an educator in the Boardman Schools since 2011. He replaces Mike Masucci, who resigned last month after 30 years in public education, and after being awarded a three-year contract for the post in May.
      DeAngelo’s annual salary is $93,233.
      “I am very humbled and grateful to the board, as well as Supt. Saxton and Supt. Neifer for this opportunity. I cannot wait to continue the growth of our staff, students, and families at BCIS,” said DeAngelo.
      A Boardman alumni from the Class of 2006, DeAngelo served as a science teacher at Boardman High School, as well as an assistant swim coach for nearly a decade.
