Following an executive session on Monday night, Boardman Township Trustees have hired Kimberly Blasco, 50, of Crystal Dr., as the new superintendent of the Boardman Road Department.
Blasco comes to Boardman Township after serving for four years as the Service Director for the city of Cortland in Trumbull County. She suceeds Marilyn Kenner who is retiring at the end of January.
Blasco is a 1998 graduate of Youngstown State University where she earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Prior to her employment in Cortland, she served as project engineer with the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineers for ten years where she was responsible for sanitary sewer and waterline projects, where she spearheaded a project to map all water and sewer lines within Trumbull County.
She was also previously employed as a design engineer with KCI Associates of Ohio and as an environmental planner with the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments.
Trustees approved a salary of $85,500 a year for their new Road Department Superintendent.
She and her husband, Jerry, are the parents of two children, Sarah and Connor, both of whom are graduates of Boardman High School and who currently attend Youngstown State University. |
