Meeting on Tuesday, Boardman Township’s Board of Trustees---Steve Yacovone, Larry Moliterno and Matt Gambrel---acting on the recommendation of Road Supt. Kim Blasco, unanimously approved a 2026 road resurfacing covering some 9.08 miles of roadway at a cost of $1.491 million.
      Low bidder for the work was R.T. Vernal, of 11299 South Ave., North Lima. Other bids considered were from Lindy Paving , $1.547 million; Shelly & Sands, $1.645 million; and Karvo Companies, $1.816 million.
      Funding for the work comes from nearly $950,000 from sales tax revenue, as well as gas tax and permissive tax monies. No property tax funds are used for the resurfacing program.
      Roadways scheduled for resurfacing include the following:
       •Stratmore Rd., from Midlothian Blvd. south to the dead end;
       •Cascade Dr., from Midlothian south to the dead end;
       •Lemoyne, from Mathews Rd. to Lemont Dr
       •LeMont Dr., from Lealand to Lealand;
       •Sheridan Rd., from Mathews Rd to 6270 Sheridan Rd.
       •Applecrest Dr., from Mathews Rd. to Oakridge Ave.;
       •Applecrest Ct., from; Applecrest Dr. to the cul-de-sac;
       •Auburn Hills, from South Ave. to Crimson Trl
       •Lost Tree Dr., from Spartan Dr. to Ingram Dr.;
       •Spartan Dr., from Ingram to the Glenwood cul-de-sac;
       •Loretta Dr., from Valley View Dr. to Sharon Dr.
       •Suzylynn, from Loretta Dr. to Tracy Dr.;
       •Hunters Ridge, from Huntington Dr. to Eagle Trace;
       •Hunters Glen, from Huntington to the cul-de-sac;
       •Pheasant Ct., from East Huntington to the cul-de-sac;
       •Glendale Ave., from Rt. 224 to Aylesboro Ave.;
       •Melbourne, from West Blvd. to the Glenwood Ave. circle/cul-de-sac;

      Angiline, from Hitchcock Rd. to Cathy Ann Dr.;
       •Cathy Ann, from Angiline to the cul-de-sac;
       •Dominica, from Angiline to Cathy Ann;
       •Karago Ave., from Market St. to the end of the roadway;
       •Red Fox, from Squirrel Hill Dr. to the cul-de-sac at Red Fox Ct. (that will also be repaved);
       •Prestwick Dr., from Hillman Way to Windsor Rd.;
       •Court Way, from Jennette Dr. to Overhill Rd.;
       •Green Garden Dr., from Hitchcock Rd. to Crystal Dr.; and
       •Meadow Lane, from South Ave. to the cul-de-sac.
      Boardman Township’s 2026 resurfacing program also includes milling projects on Border Place, Wood St., Longview Dr. and Eastern Dr.
